Home of the University of Iowa’s biannual undergraduate literary journal

Our Mission
The mission of Ink Lit Mag is to provide experience and support to undergraduate students who are interested in learning about publishing and having their work read by a larger audience. We believe in creativity, in work that advances the possibility of the written word, and we are committed to reading work from all writers (regardless of genre) openly, honestly, and fairly.
Ink Lit Mag is a unique undergraduate literary journal published through the generous support of the Magid Center for Writing and the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences. Conceived, edited, designed, staffed, and promoted by residents of the Iowa Writers Living-Learning Community, Ink is open to submissions by all first-year University of Iowa students (regardless of major/area of study) as well as alumni of the IWLLC. The magazine is published biannually, and our reading periods run during the beginning weeks of both the fall and spring semesters.
